When Fear Outweighs Faith

The heart is heavy,
self-doubt slithers into a hallway
leading to the lessening
of our relationship with the Divine.

Wisdom finds no welcome space;
the beauty of the mind’s exploration
staunchly waits for the return of Light,
where salvation gift’s G-d’s love.

Multitudes are trapped by fear
— the emptiness of Spirit lacking Faith,
the loud iron drone of Evil rising --
prayer must break free the shackles.

For the moment, may we be,
a lily floating on the lake,
believing G-d is not a Fairy Tale,
yet the ever presence of Love.
