The heart is heavy,
self-doubt slithers into a hallway
leading to the lessening
of our relationship with the Divine.

Wisdom finds no welcome space;
the beauty of the mind’s exploration
staunchly waits for the return of Light,
where salvation gift’s G-d’s love.

Multitudes are trapped by fear
— the emptiness of Spirit lacking Faith,
the loud iron drone of Evil rising --
prayer must break free the shackles.

For the moment, may we be,
a lily floating on the lake,
believing G-d is not a Fairy Tale,
yet the ever presence of Love.

There is no compromise in Heaven!
The angels are not confused
as to right and wrong —
G-d shines a clear light.

America’s problems of race, religion,
political ignorance and greed,
cannot continue
without Her self-destruction.

Identify yourself as Earthlings
for the fuller picture
of what justice looks like —
disrobe your stubborn armor.

Our variety of appearances,
our freedom of diverse thought,
are all meant to delight
the rainbow of creation.
These years of hate —
built upon blind separations,
inflamed by soulless politicians,
must turn to Love and wisdom.

Every one of us could extend
the compassion taught by Christ,
or any tree that gives shade —
to wrap our country in healing.
